I have heard and seen people being blinded by their earthly desires and foolishness. What you have here on earth are just temporary things that does not belong to anyone. As a result there is no interference or overlap between different wavelengths of light over long distances.
The single-mode cables are the most important cables for long-haul use (carrier and Internet core). The cable has a small core (7 to 10 microns) that forces the light to follow a more linear single path down the cable, as opposed to the multipath reflections of multimode cable. However, another form of dispersion, called chromatic dispersion, is a problem (as discussed later). Lasers are the usual light source. This cable is the most expensive and hardest to handle, but it has the highest bandwidths and distance ratings.

Fiber Optic Cables, Single Mode

Multi-Mode cable has a little bit bigger diameter, with a common diameters in the 50-to-100 micron range for the light carry component (in the US the most common size is 62.5um). Most applications in which Multi-mode fiber is used, 2 fibers are used (WDM is not normally used on multi-mode fiber). POF is a newer plastic-based cable which promises performance similar to glass cable on very short runs, but at a lower cost.
Multimode fiber gives you high bandwidth at high speeds (10 to 100MBS - Gigabit to 275m to 2km) over medium distances. Light waves are dispersed into numerous paths, or modes, as they travel through the cable's core typically 850 or 1300nm. Typical multimode fiber core diameters are 50, 62.5, and 100 micrometers. However, in long cable runs (greater than 3000 feet [914.4 meters), multiple paths of light can cause signal distortion at the receiving end, resulting in an unclear and incomplete data transmission so designers now call for single mode fiber in new applications using Gigabit and beyond.

Ability to assess needs...

IT MANAGER: Abilty to assess needs

All IT managers need to know how to assess the needs of their company as it relates to their technology responsibilities. It doesn’t matter what level you are; you have to be able to discover what the real needs and issues are so you work on the right things. Too many managers develop an "IT agenda" because they don't make the effort to discover the objectives and tangible issues of the company. Developing the ability to quickly assess the technology for your area of expertise positions you for more responsibility. Managers who develop initiatives that miss the target because they lack strong assessment skills cost companies hundreds of thousands of dollars. Assessing technology needs plays a major part in helping your career advance.123

Managers plays a vital role in managing tasks, responsiblities and that includes people in controlling and directing an institution, business, etc., or of a part, division or phase of it. Needs assessment is a systematic process to acquire an accurate, thorough pictures of the strengths and weaknesses of a business community that can be used in response to the real needs of the company its improvisation. This is a process of collecting and examining information about business wide issues and then utilizes that data to determine priority goals, to develop a plan, and to allocate funds and resources. The use of assessments helps a manager track progress against his/her goals.111

IT managers should be able to comply with the needs of the organization in order to have a one big step to success. The manager should conduct an objective assessment rather than being subjective because we are talking about discovering the current reality that the company is facing. One example is to implement questionnaires that will help clarify and determine a suitable course of action. He/she should be able to understand the current and future needs of the company. He/ she should be able to gather data to meet the wellness and ongoing marketing of the company. 96

Companies nowadays are non-stop competing in different industries and it takes a wise man to make his company range as one of the best high-quality standard of business in the world. In my research about this, here are some of the benefits that a company can acquire if assessment will be made by the manager. The manager will be able to recognize opportunities for change and mprovement. He/ she will also be able to clarify and communicate his/her goals, vision and strategies. These strategic plans will help comply with the company's need for progress and will ultimately affect business viablity.101

PuNch DoWn ToOL

A punch down tool, also called a punchdown tool or a Krone tool (after wiring systems manufacturer ADC Krone), is a small screw-driver sized tool used for connecting wiring to a punch down block. Networks using the CSMA/CD procedure are simple to implement but do not have deterministic transmission characteristics. The CSMA/CD method is internationally standardized in IEEE 802.3 and ISO 8802.3.

CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access / Collision Avoidance), a network contention protocol that listens to a network in order to avoid collisions, unlike CSMA/CD that deals with network transmissions once collisions have been detected. CSMA/CA contributes to network traffic because, before any real data is transmitted, it has to broadcast a signal onto the network in order to listen for collision scenarios and to tell other devices not to broadcast.
